Shruti Haasan has finally addressed the concerning encounter with a fan at the airport while connecting with her fans by hosting an ‘Ask me a Question’ session on social media. She shed light on the delicate balance between fame and personal space.

The recent development comes days after Shruti Haasan got irked at a man who continued to follow her and eventually approached her at the Mumbai airport. With an irritated look on her face, Shruti finally said, "I don't know who you are, sir!".  ALSO READ | Shruti Haasan Gets PISSED At A Stalker Who Follows Her On Reaching Mumbai Airport; Actress Confronts And Says 'I Don't Know Who You Are' - WATCH VIDEO

In a recently hosted Ask me a Question session, one fan questioned Shruti which resonated deeply with her. In a video shared on social media, Shruti Haasan gave an insight into the unsettling encounter and expressed her gratitude for the question, acknowledging its significance in allowing her to share her experience.

“Okay, I’m glad you asked this question,” Shruti began. “I have no clue who it was. So as I was walking out, I saw this person, like, following me. And then somebody in the bunch of photographers was like, ‘Unke pascha, unke pasa. Arisharma Gekkya, go stand next to her.’ So I was like, who is it? Like, obviously, it was a friend of one of the photographers or whatever, but he was, like, super, super close. So I felt, like, uncomfortable, and I didn’t know him.”

Moreover, the incident highlights a common occurrence in the lives of celebrities wherein fans or unknown individuals approach them closely in public spaces. Some even cross the thin line between admiration and invasion of private space.

In Shruti’s case, not knowing the person added to her discomfort, as she was unsure of their intentions.

Shruti continued, “And then I thought maybe the photographer was asking him to come. Can you tell me who it is? Didn’t happen. Very close. Very uncomfortable. Also, I don’t actually have personal bodyguards because I don’t like it. I like to live my life and be as safe as possible, but it just got so blown out of proportion, and I just said I didn’t like it, and I think that’s okay, and my personal space is up to me.”

Being a public figure comes with its disadvantages, including lack of privacy, and constantly being under the scrutiny of millions of people around the clock.

In her address, Shruti stressed upon the constant battle for fame and the need for a private life. Despite being a public figure, it does not negate the fact that even celebrities are entitled to the fundamental right to personal space and security.

Nevertheless, Shruti’s decision to not have personal bodyguards is a choice that some celebrities make in order to enjoy a rather ordinary life when they are not in the public eye. Notably, it is a mere reflection of her desire to navigate fame on her terms, embracing the freedom to live as independently as possible.
